a special retreat for your dog – tucked away in an area of outstanding natural beauty!
Hi I am Katie, my family and I moved to Little Woodend in 2015 to a lovely 17th century cottage with 14 acres of land. Little Woodend is set in a stunning rural location on the outskirts of Markyate in Hertfordshire, in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We have really embraced living here, along with our dog Rudy, our little herd of Herdwick sheep from the Lake District, Guinea Fowls (which my youngest son breeds) and chickens. We also have a small stable yard, where currently 4 people keep their horses.
To make the most of living in the countryside, we recently put up a polytunnel to try our hand in gardening, so now we have some lovely home grown produce.
Little Woodend is not just special to us, we also worked hard to turn this place into a special retreat for dogs. With Katie’s Dog Care at Little Woodend, I offer dog owners a unique place for their dogs to stay. They will be well looked after in this spacious, dog friendly and safe environment.
One of the highlights at Little Woodend is “Little Woodend Paddock” our six acre secure dog walking paddock, which I use for my dog guests on a daily basis. The rest of the time the paddock is hired by people to walk their dogs and to spend some worry free, quality, fun-time with them.
